About This Story

Thank you for reading my story! This story has been in my mind one way or another for years. It is based on an RPG created by White Wolf Games called Vampire. I modifdied many of the concepts and ideas into something new – but will you see many of the names, disciplines and other references to the model created by White Wolf. This story is not meant to follow the white wolf game strictly and I have also at time incorporated other elements into the story from other White Wolf games such as Werewolves and mages.  The history of the game is completely changed and if you expect to see some of the usual characters and figures from the White Wolf world – well, you won’t.  The entire history – including how the Camarilla was created and how it works is all different than the game – it is something I created based on the ideas presented in the game world.

For those die hard fans of the game, you will see many things here that are not true to how the game works. Thats ok, because this is my story and its been modified to suit my needs. This story is actually based on a campaign I ran in Florida, about 10 years ago.  I am not a particularly good writer, but for me, this is not about writting in itself, its about telling this story that has been in my head for so long – just getting it out of my head and on paper somewhere.  So I hope you ignore the gramatical errors, and enjoy the tale.

Last but not least, this story starts in the winter of 1042.  I suck at writting things in old english, so the language you will see her is the language of today – with much of the slang we use now.  I tried in to incorporate some older language in the first few chapters but I simply gave up because it is not my strong point.  Plus the focus is the story – not really the language.   Also I took some things from real history and made others up – yes – I created lords and barons etc – so most of it is not historically accurate – once again – it’s fiction!

I always loved the Derek, Claude and Edward characters and wanted to expand on them, so this is my opportunity. I hope you enjoy them as much I do!
